Census 2006

On May 16th, the 2006 Census will take place.

I just checked out the website and found these instructions:

Welcome to the 2006 Census Questionnaire
Filling out your online questionnaire is simple and secure.

Step 1 Before you start: you will need the Internet access code located on the front page of the printed questionnaire.

Paper questionnaires will be delivered to households across Canada during the first week of May. If you have not received a Census questionnaire by May 14, please contact us.

Step 2 Click the "Start" button below.
(Your browser will automatically be tested to see if it meets the necessary security requirements to begin the questionnaire. You will get a message if you need to update or modify your settings.)

There is help on the site on how to answer specific questions (menu on the left). We'll print a copy of the PDF version for our designated Census workstation.

Most people will have the short form - A. The FAQ on questions is for the long form - B.

Also people can complete their census form ahead of the 16th if they wish.

FYI only!

There is some controversy about the online version of the 2006 census and the consortium hired for this version. For more information, Google and keywords canadian census 2006 controversy
