I like to demo All In One Search for patrons and email him or her an article or two. Viral marketing! The patron checks her email account and finds the great article we found for her. An automatic reminder to use the databases!
If you don't have a link on the Internet Explorer for the automatic login to AIOS (no library barcode or PIN needed), you can create one easily.
First, you need to see what the URL for your branch is - it depends on whether you are a district or neighbourhood branch. Go to a public computer. Log in with a one-time use number, a branch library card or your own card. Choose the first menu item (All In One Search). Print that page. The URL will be at the bottom of the page.
You probably know what to do next! But in case..
Type the URL in Internet Explorer. Go to the site by pressing enter. Click on Favorites and Add to Favorites. Choose Links folder. Click on OK. You might want to change the link name - shorten it to AIOS. In the Favorites menu, choose Organize, then the Links folder, then Rename.
