Just announced - a 3 month trial on this new tool for finding books and other library material.
Try this: go to Google, choose More, choose Google Book Search.
Search for the book Fingersmith. Click on the first result.
Choose Find this book in a library - right side.
It brings you to World Cat.
Put in your postal code - note the format (m1m-1m1)
Click on Go.
If you click on our name, you will link to the entry in our catalogue.
You can also search WorldCat itself:
go to WorldCat
Try the same search.
In Google Books - note the nice book info and reviews.
Try searching for The Penelopiad by Atwood. Since this is a Canadian title, it takes us to Amicus (Library and Archives Canada).
Even better, if you search WorldCat through All In One Search or through a link on the Ingenieum menu, our holdings are highlighted. You can also create your own booklists through First Search feature. Free registration is required.
Now users browsing Google will be able to find our resources too!
