Bookwatch: Rex Libris, by James Turner

This one comes courtesy of KH, who reports that the Merril Collection's copy has now arrived. It's a graphic novel, following the adventures of librarian/superhero extraordinaire Rex Libris. It springs from the pen and fertile (demented, vivid, hilarious) imagination of James Turner, whose bio. describes him as having "worked in multimedia for many dark years before throwing caution to the winds and pursuing his illustration dream career".

An overview of the book is at www.jtillustration.com/rex/index.php. The "Library Order" section of the site will also give you some idea of Turner's gleeful approach, and whet your appetite for the book itself. Copies are on order for the system - put your holds now; or, better still, come down to the Merril!
