Libraries' Surprising Special Collections at the Smithsonian Magazine highlights a number of interesting special collections in American libraries. Neat to see the diversity. My fave is the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's "nation's largest collection of nurse romance novels". TPL, of course, has many fabulous special collections, several of which are housed at Lillian H. Smith.
