New resources in Research eBooks (Gale Virtual Reference Library)

When I was helping a patron yesterday, I noticed some new (or new to me) e-encyclopedias in the Gale Virtual Reference Library. This suite of online encyclopedias is available in All In One Search - Resources not included in Search (direct links) - Research eBooks (Gale Virtual Reference Library).

A patron interested in the Roaming Gnome Travelocity marketing campaign?
Check out Encyclopedia of Major Marketing Campaigns.

Check out the useful resources for history, literature and social science assignments and more.

Encyclopedia of Western Colonialism since 1450 3 volumes, 2007
Useful articles on the Boer Wars, on New France and on the cultivation and trade of sugar.

Nobel Prize Laureates in Literature, Parts 1-4 2007
Read the presentation speeches about them and by acceptance speeches by the Laureates.

Junior Worldmark Encyclopedia of the Canadian Provinces 5th ed., 2007
Includes details on Canada's arts, climate, government, health, languages, notable persons, and ethnic groups.

Worldmark Encyclopedia of the Nations. 12th ed. 2007. 5 volumes.

Senior school and high school students can read about daily life in the Elizabethan era in the Elizabethan World Reference Library. It also contains primary documents wtih commentary and context such as some of Queen Elizabeth's speeches and a Papal Bull issued by the Pope.

Don't forget to use the drop-down menu to choose the individual volumes of each encyclopedia (you must click on Go after selecting the volume.) Then use the eTable of Contents for the encyclopedia to go to a topic. You can also search across all the encyclopedias at once by using the Basic search box.
