Leena showed me a neat way to find out what "in transit" means for a particular item.
Here's how:
When you have the item on the screen (Item Search and Display), click on Detailed Display. Click on the little red book in the upper left corner. This shows whether your copy is on its way home or is going to another branch to fill a hold.
